How does it work?

Morpheus8 treatments involve rolling a device over the treatable area that uses micro needling to penetrate the skin. The body perceives this as an injury and gets the message that it needs to produce new collagen to heal the area. By using fractioned RF energy, Morpheus8 also heats the skin to 43 degrees Celsius.

Who is suitable for Morpheus8?

Morpheus 8 tightens skin to improve its quality and smooth out wrinkles. If you have lost skin laxity to age or illness, it can help you regain it and leave your skin looking smoother and younger. Almost anyone looking to achieve these goals is a good candidate. It works on all skin types and has a very low risk of complications.
In rare cases, you may need to delay Morpheus 8. Open wounds or sunburns on the treatment area need to heal in full before you undergo treatment. If you have an underlying skin condition – such as psoriasis or eczema – check in with your dermatologist before undergoing Morpheus 8 to ensure it is safe for you.

What is the downtime?

All procedures have potential side effects and complications. However, they are exceedingly rare with Morpheus 8. After undergoing this procedure, some people notice bruising, redness, or swelling near the treatment site. If you are getting a larger area treated, you may be more likely to experience these side effects.

As your skin will be very sensitive after Morpheus 8 treatment, proper care when out in the sun is important. If you fail to use sunscreen shortly after treatment, you may experience more intense sunburns.

The best way to ensure your procedure is complication free is to work with an experienced clinician and follow all instructions closely. 

How many treatments are required for best results?

Some patients may see results within a single treatment. However, in some cases, it may take two or three treatments to get the results you want. Your clinician can help you determine the right number of treatments for you. Treatments are generally spread every 6-8 weeks apart.

When do I see visible results?

You should see some results within the first few days. However, these may be minor – especially if you had swelling or bruising after the procedure. Results should gradually improve over time and most people see full results within three months.

How long does the results last for?

After 3 treatments, while everyone’s skin is unique, the majority of patients can expect their Morpheus8 results to last for between 1 – 3 years before a repeat treatment may be needed.

What does post-care look like?

You can resume most regular activities right away. Recovery typically takes two to three days, although only a small amount of lifestyle changes are needed. You will need to refrain from wearing makeup and stay out of the sun as much as possible. For one to two weeks following treatment, your clinician may create a 7 or 14-day intensive ampoule treatment journey to do at home leading up to your 2-3 week follow-up treatment. If the area is usually exposed to the sun, they will also recommend you wear sunscreen whenever you go outdoors.
